Why would I use Video Consultation?

A video-consult will reduce the unnecessary travel and spread of COVID-19, keep primary care safe, keep hospitals from being burdened with these emergency low risk patients that can be seen in primary care safely, and inevitably save lives.

Am I covered for tele-dentistry?

Indemnity insurance will vary, some cover remote consultations, whether you are covered to work from home over the phone or through video consults. Some don’t and some are doing it on a case-by-case basis. Please check with your insurance company to find out if you are covered.

How should I use Video Consults?

Video consults should be used as communication and triage tool for pre diagnosis. It allows you to identify your patient and assess your patients. Most people have access to a mobile smart phone or laptop to be able for you to communicate.

What is the best way to conduct a video consult?

It is advised that you follow standard operating procedures in practice and over the phone. However once onboarded we will provide you with a triage flow you can use.

Is this completely free?

Virtuaden was completely free to communicate, book and manage video consultations for early adopters. This is a limited free offer has expired and Virtudan Australia will charge for this service. Please request for more information.

How long will this take to get set-up?

Provided that you supply us with the necessary information so we can create your Virtuaden system, we have a turnaround time of 36-48 hours depending on the amount of practices that we are onboarding at this time.

Are you compliant?

The system has been upgraded to be HIPAA Compliant and meets PIPEDA/PHIPA, GDPR requirements and the Australian Privacy Act 1988.


Virtuaden and video consultations (“the system”) are no substitute for face to face consultations and should not be considered as such. Dentists, Dental Practices, patients and third parties use Virtuaden entirely at their own risk.
